Videography Services

With seven years of experience as a freelance videographer, I offer a full-package service from initial consultation and pre-production through to filming and post-production. I specialise in creating artistic, high-quality videos for small- to medium-size businesses, museums, charities and arts organisations at highly competitive prices. I have extensive experience working with actors, writers and film crew, drawing regularly upon my wide network of creative collaborators to create aesthetically high-calibre videos with a clear, coherent narrative.

Consultation - Free

Over an initial 30-minute consultation, we will discuss what you are looking for and what you hope to achieve through our collaboration. Based on this consultation, I will create a free quotation.

Prep & Filming - from £180 per day

In the prep stage, I and any other crew visit the shoot location(s) and plan for the shoot. During filming, we shoot the footage we need in accordance with the brief, with the option to create a variety of options for greater flexibility.

Post-production (Editing) - £200 per day

Using industry-standard post-production software, I will create a first cut of the film, including colour correction and sound mixing. I'll then adjust the edit according to your direction, with up to two rounds of feedback and further editing.

Pre-production - Included

Once we have refined our brief for maximum impact, I will create a production schedule and hire any additional crew necessary, as agreed upon in advance.

Voiceover - from £180 per day

Working with professional actors and/or the people at the heart of your film, we can record any desired voiceover or additional sound using industry-standard equipment.

Finishing Touches - as needed

In accordance with the needs of your project and vision, I can incorporate  music, stock footage or other media, as agreed upon in advance.

Sharon Pérez and 'The mask is looking at us' - Art residency

Sharon Pérez focuses on creating visibility for the Afrodescendant communities in Bolivia through her artistic practice. By painting portraits, on rusting metals or daily-use furniture such as chairs, window frames or doors, large-scale installations and peformance she seeks to break the circulation of stereotypes of Afrodescendant bodies. The artist worked in response to the Andean carnival masks from Bolivia in the British Museum’s collection. Specifically, there is a series of masks that represent various characters from the Morenada collected between the 1980s and 2000s. These masks perpetuate stereotypical features of Afro-descendant people and are commonly danced by members from the Aymara community. This project is a reflection on the lack of Afro-descendant representation in the collection and an opportunity to emphasize the multiplicity of voices on a shared cultural heritage. *** Sharon Pérez se centra en la visibilidad de las comunidades afrodescendientes en Bolivia a través de su práctica artística. Mediante propuestas artísticas de retratos, en soportes como metales corroídos o muebles de uso diario como sillas y marcos de ventana, puertas, instalaciones y performance que busca romper la circulación de estereotipos de los cuerpos afrodescendientes. La artista trabajó con las máscaras de carnavales andinos que hay en la colección del Museo Británico. Específicamente hay una serie de máscaras que representan diversos personajes de la morenada coleccionados entre los 1980s y los 2000s. Estas máscaras demuestran rasgos estereotipados de personas afrodescendientes y son bailados mayormente por comunidades Aymara. Este proyecto es una reflexión sobre la falta de representación afrodescendiente en la colección y una oportunidad para enfatizar la multiplicidad de voces sobre un mismo patrimonio cultural compartido.
